Vault is one of those apps you download thinking you'll just hide a few awkward photos, but then you realize how useful it actually is. It locks away pics and videos behind a password, and yeah, it actually works. No more accidentally scrolling into that one embarrassing screenshot when showing someone your gallery.

You can lock apps too, handy if you share your phone but don’t want anyone snooping through your messages. The private browser doesn’t save history, which is nice, though I mostly just use it for quick searches when I don’t want them popping up later.

There’s a fake vault option if you need to pretend you’re hiding something boring, and it even snaps a photo of anyone who tries guessing your password wrong. Kinda sneaky, but useful if you’re dealing with nosy people.

Backup to the cloud keeps your stuff safe if you lose your phone, and you can transfer everything to a new device. Just don’t forget your password, set up the security email, or you’ll have to jump through hoops to recover anything.
